Golmaal Again Movie Review

October 27, 2017

Golmaal Again Story: The story began with a scene where Anna Mathew (Tabu) was shown helping a ghost. She then started narrating a story of a gang of five Gopal (Ajay), Madhav(Arshad), Lucky (Tusshar), Laxman (Shreyas) and Laxman, again! (Kunal) and how they met Khushi (Parineeti). They were orphans who have been raised by Seth Jamnadas in his orphanage in Ooty. When they return to their orphanage to mourn the death of their mentor, they hear that an avaricious builder, Vasu Reddy (Prakash Raj) and his associate, Nikhil (Neil) want to shift the orphanage and as well as the adjoining plot owned by Colonel Chouhan (Sachin Khedekar). Few incidents forces the gang to stop the builders.

Golmaal Again, the fourth instalment started with Tabu narrating the childhood story of gang. How they were the first batch of kids in the orphanage. The story tells us what made the gang of five take different paths and what brought them back together.

The hall was rooting and laughing at one-liners or jokes. It kept audience entertained during the first half of the film. The moment ghost enters the scene the film started becoming funnier and funnier. Laxman plays close aide to Gopal by singing lullaby's to him, whenever he is scared of ghosts. The sudden transformation from the saviour to the attacker is funny and the fact that this is the first time the ghost makes its appearance makes the audience laugh. They work for babli bhai (Sanjay Misra) by helping him vacate places.

The rest three Arshad Warsi, Tusshar and Kunal Kemmu are shown using technology to make people believe their houses are haunted. They use this trick coincidentally to make people sell their house and they do it for Vasooli (Mukesh Tiwari). Both do same type of work.

When ghost enters from that point until the end there are many funny scenes that will make you laugh. Especially lucky, when he suddenly starts speaking. That scene was quite hilarious; one will burst out laughing even if you do not want to. The cast was very much in their characters. However, I still missed something and that was Kareena Kapoor Khan. She would have been amazing. If you are looking for content oriented films with logic, then this one has no logic, only magic. However, if you are looking to just have a great time and want to laugh then Golmaal will again is watchable.
